Expectations and news from Poland

Due to the large volume of cargo and low throughput capacity at border crossing points towards Poland and Lithuania, after the implementation of the "E-queue" system, there have been technical failures in the time frames for the exit of trucks. This results in increased delivery times for piece goods and vehicles, rising rates, and higher costs for importers. Additionally, it is important to consider the upcoming new marketing year for grain exports, which may lead to longer border crossing wait times and cause a transportation collapse in the direction of Poland and Klaipeda, significantly raising rates.

Considering that the grain export season starts in June, importers have the opportunity to redirect their shipments to the port of Constanța (Romania) to avoid additional costs and reduce delivery times. Currently, a number of measures have been implemented at the port of Constanța to improve infrastructure and increase cargo processing speed, and border crossing towards Romania is happening without delays, despite the implementation of the "E-queue" system.
